새해가 엊그제 같은데 어느덧 꽃들이 만발한 봄이 되었습니다.
 
본교에서는 다음 주 중간고사를 마치고 난 후 봄 수학여행(Spring Trip)을 떠날 예정입니다. 학생들은 방문지에 대해 미리 예습하고 숙지한 뒤 방문해 비교하는 체험학습을 하게 됩니다. 이에 봄 수학여행에 관한 교장선생님의 안내 통지문을 번역해 전해드리오니 첨부 파일을 확인해주시기 바랍니다.

* 통학생들의 통학버스 시간에 관련해서는 학부모님께 별도의 안내 메일을 보내드리도록 하겠습니다.

화창한 북경의 날씨만큼 귀 가정에도 화목과 행복이 넘치기를 기원드립니다.

존경하는 학부모님께,

We are excited that we are moving our classrooms OUTSIDE during the week of April 25-29, 2016 for our annual “Spring Trip.”  We have spent the last several months planning these grade-level trips that are age-appropriate and should be a great learning experience for everyone.

오는 4월 25일부터 29일까지 교외수업인 봄 수학여행에 대해 알려드리게 되어 기쁜 마음입니다. 본교는 지난 몇 달 동안 학생들에게 잊지 못할 여행으로 만들어 주기 위해 금 학년도 수학여행에 대한 계획을 하였으며,아래와 같이 학년별로 나누어 진행이 됩니다. 

• 7^th - 8^th graders (43 students & 3 teachers): Tianjin & Beijing, China (천진, 북경)

• 9^th  graders (73 students & 8 teachers): Xi’an, China (서안)

• 10^th graders (101 students & 10 teachers):  Shanghai, China (상해)

• 11^th graders (43 students & 5 teachers):  Chengdu, China (청두)

• 12^th graders (19 students & 3 teachers):  Hangzhou & Suzhou, China (항주, 소주)

Throughout the week of travel, students will complete projects and take part in activities that will include various aspects of Math, Science, English/ESL, Chinese culture, Social Studies, and Music/Art.  Teachers are planning learning experiences that will help students apply what they have learned in the classroom.

한 주간, 학생들은 각자에게 주어진 프로젝트를 완성하고, 수학, 과학, 영어, 중국어, 사회 그리고 음악, 미술 교과목과 관련된 다양한 활동에 참여할 예정입니다. 학생들이 이번 교외학습 경험을 통해, 수업에서 배운 내용을 이해하는데 도움이 될 수 있도록 계획하고 있습니다.   

The Spring Trip is a required part of your child’s educational experience at Saint Paul American School and will include an academic component, besides the travel experience.  We need and appreciate your cooperation, support, and encouragement during this planning process and travel experience.

본 수학여행은 세인트폴 미국학교 학생들이 의무로 참여해야 하는 수업의 일종이며, 성공적인 수학여행 기획 및 진행을 위해, 학부모님의 협조와 지원, 격려가 필요합니다.

Students will want to bring some extra money for food and souvenirs, but please caution your child against bringing too much as it is a safety concern.

학생들은 일정 중 간단한 간식 또는 이동 중 식사를 해야 할 경우를 대비해, 소량의 용돈을 가져오는 것을 추천합니다. 단, 분실의 위험이 있을 수 있기 때문에 본인이 관리할 수 있는 정도의 현금을 지참할 수 있도록 합니다.
